Midwest Clinic of Dermatology and Midwest Vein Institute proudly serves patients throughout central Minnesota. With convenient locations in St. Cloud and Alexandria, we provide exceptional care that's more than skin deep. Daniel K. Elieff, M.D.

Born and raised in the North Star State, Dr. Daniel K. Elieff studied medicine at the University of Minnesota and completed residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He returned to his home state and founded Midwest Clinic of Dermatology in 1995. As a Board Certified Dermatologist, a Fellow in the Society of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and a member of the American College of Phlebology, Dr. Elieff is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest dermatologic discoveries so he can provide the most advanced, comprehensive skincare therapies and treatments to patients throughout Central Minnesota. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Elieff enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, pets, and kids. 

Daniel L. Elieff, M.D.

A Minnesota native, Dr. Daniel L. Elieff received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from St. Cloud State University. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency and board certification at Central Michigan University College of Medicine where he developed a comprehensive and integrated approach to skin care. After residency, he returned to his home state to join Midwest Clinic of Dermatology. His special interests include cutaneous carcinoma and cutaneous surgery as well full-spectrum treatment for dermatologic conditions. Outside of work, he enjoys, fishing, hunting, sailing, wakeboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, and geocaching. Previously, he was a nationally-ranked competitive bowler and a finalist at the INT National slalom waterski competition. He continues to enjoy these sports recreationally.

Julie Elieff, Office Manager

Julie was a medical assistant when Midwest Clinic opened its doors. Now she's managing the office and working as a Certified Mohs Histotechnician. When she's not serving patients and keeping the office in line, Julie enjoys spending time with her pets — Frank and Teddy — and her family. She also likes getting away to the cabin, relaxing on the lake and playing black jack.

Sarah Tasto, APRN, CNP

Sarah joined our clinic in 2002 and offers medical and surgical dermatologic care, including skin checks and removals for moles and benign growths. Specialized in advanced laser therapies, she provides a variety of cosmetic and correctional services at our St. Cloud location. Sarah earned her bachelors and Master of Science in nursing from Graceland University and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, among others. She is a nurse by day and a rocker by night, so you might catch her performing around town. When Sarah’s not in scrubs or on stage, she enjoys micro-homesteading with her family. 

 

Corey Toay, PA-C

Corey joined Midwest Clinic of Dermatology in 2022 as the Physician Assistant at our Alexandria location. He was born and raised in North Dakota and received his PA degree from The University of Dubuque in Iowa. Prior to joining our dermatology practice, Corey worked in urgent care in Fargo, ND. Outside the clinic, Corey enjoys time with his wife and kids, biking, fishing, and hunting.

 

Kristofer Wallman, PA-C

Kris first joined Midwest Clinic of Dermatology in the 1990s as one of the first dermatology PAs in the state of Minnesota. He then left to serve our country as a Medical Officer. After a long career in the U.S. Army, Kris is grateful to be back in Central Minnesota close to family and friends. In his spare time, Kris enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, hunting, and bushcraft. He attended University of Texas Health Science Center and earned his Masters Degree in Dermatology at University of Nebraska Medical College.
